HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

My son took this picture of us while waiting for a pizza.  I was fooling around with a pair of 3D glasses he had.  The lenses were removed from the frame.   My son calls this picture, "A Bunch of Nerds."  ha!

HAVE A BLESSED NEW YEAR, 2015!!!

4.5 Hours

It was a nice Christmas this year, and I hope it will be a wonderful 2015.  I will be spending New Year's Eve with friends. Though, it has been an interesting past three weeks for me.  I had been dating a gentleman, but I soon realized that our differences will always get in the way.  He is an atheist, liberal, and I am a Born Again Christian, conservative.  Where could this go?  We liked each other very much, but I do not want to be careful in what I say, it is just not in my nature.  Also, I believe he felt the same way.  I cannot lie and say that I am not hurt, he was a gentleman and intelligent, funny, a little romantic and attractive. Unfortunately, there were some concerns on my part, and rightly so.  I think I will have my cry and go on.  Since I knew this man for a little over three weeks, the ratio of days to cry is one day for every month.  So, in my case I should only grieve for 4.5 hours.  I will miss you Mr. Stone.  I will miss you very much!  Also, I know I will cry more than 4.5 hours!   Take care Mr. Stone. and blessings and favor on your life.  I will pray that you find what you are looking for, and I hope you start with, Jesus, first.

Pulpit Rock

I went hiking on December 21, 2014 and hiked the side of Pulpit Rock.  I did not get quite to the top of the rock formation, I froze.  Though, I am excited that I went up.  J.S. was very encouraging and patient with me.  I appreciate him for that, but I believe I will get myself psyched up and go up that rock formation and actually stand on the flattop of Pulpit Rock!!  I have two dear lady friends who want to try the climb too.  Alrighty, my friends and I will conquer this hike sometime late Springs or early Summer 2015.  I must tell you that I am afraid of heights, but I need to do this.  I need to conquer my fears!  Prayer is appreciated!! :)

Pueblo

On December 27, 2014, I visited Pueblo, CO with Mr. Stone.  It was a beautiful and fun time.  We walked the River Walk, visited antique shops, took photographs and enjoyed the day.  I have lived in Colorado Springs for over 14 years and yesterday was my first time visiting this quaint town called, Pueblo.  The people are friendly and gracious, the shops interesting and the restaurants were great!  I definitely will be going back.  I appreciate Mr. Stone for being as adventurous, more so than me.  I appreciate his spirit, very much!!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Another Christmas has come and gone.  It was a rather beautiful Christmas this year.  I had a lovely Christmas Eve, I spent the evening with Mr. Stone.  On Christmas Day my son and I went on a couple of hikes. First, we went to Rainbow Falls aka Graffiti Falls in Manitou Springs.  Then we drove to Red Rocks in Colorado Springs, it was a nice day and I felt quite exhilarated after our hikes.  Later Christmas evening two of my closest friends came over for dinner, nothing fancy, just a hearty meal of ribs, shrimp and my son's favorite, potato perogies.  We had dinner and watched "It's A Wonderful Life," which I have seen three times, but I love the movie, so no issues.  All in all it was a relaxing Christmas and I was quite content.

Paint Mines

The day after Thanksgiving, my son and a couple of my friends drove out to the Paint Mines in Calhan, CO.  It was a good break for us all since each of us has been going through some holiday funk.  It was good to just go and photograph the beauty of the rocks, it was refreshing!
