Almost 11 pm

It is so quiet in the house right now.  My family went upstairs about ten minutes ago for bed.  I really should be going up myself.  I have a lot to do on Monday.  I rather enjoyed my weekend, even though I was sick.  I feel a little better tonight.  Unfortunately, we did not go to church or drive to Denver to visit a friend; all because of my cold.  We watched several movies today, it was just one of those days. We saw "Meet the Robinson's"  The new Hallmark movie and then we watched Scrooge.  For dinner I made tuna fish with a side salad and pork n beans; easy Sunday meal.  All in all it was a productive day.  I did go through some papers, did laundry and organized some other things that I will be getting rid of.  I really like these kind of days, where nothing is really planned, but things get done.  Well I will be signing off for now.  I am beginning to feel sleepy.  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and I pray that your week will be blessed.
Good night.

TAPAteria

-Some of these pictures were taken without flash.
Did not want to disturb other patrons-

TAPAteria opened October 2010
in Old Colorado City.

My first mojito, not bad.

Cozy atmosphere

Grilled garlic Shrimp and Tuna with caviar.
(They ran out of shrimp, tuna substituted)
Very nice.  The caviar just popped in your mouth.
Will definitely order  both again.

Basque Escargots.  First time I had escargots
not bad.  The escargots had a flowery flavor,
will definitely give this tapas another go.

Tortilla Espanola.  Did not have much of a flavor. It was
made with potato's and egg.  The greens were
nicely seasoned though.
(I think greens were supposed to go on top of the tortilla)

Chorizo with figs.  Oh my gosh, was this good!
Will definitely order gain.  The trick is to eat a
fig and sausage at same time.  OOOHHHH!!

The ambiance at the TAPAteria was casual.
They use products from local businesses.
The servers were friendly.  Unfortunately, they did run out of a lot of things on the menu, which is not good.  A few grumbling customers.  We enjoyed ourselves, will possibly come again.

Christmas Trees and Lights

Front porch Christmas Tree.
 It still looks lovely.

Dining Room Christmas Tree.
We'll see you again later this year.
Wrapped lights for easier set up.
Thank you, Martha Stewart for your idea.

Christmas 23rd, 24th & 25th

The Harvest Alliance Church in Downtown Colorado Springs
had their live nativity on December 23, 2010.
Their Christmas Eve service was also beautiful.
